Q:You have asset management as your background. What experience have you had in the oil &gas sector?

A:That’s an excellent question, so maybe I should tell you a bit about myself, I studied Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Ife, now called Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Afterwards, I joined Schlumberger as a Wireline Field Engineer. I started in Nigeria, and then I went to Egypt, Pakistan, the Sultanate of Oman, and then to Scotland (Aberdeen).

Oil giant, Total said on Friday it could stop a gas leak discovered on April 3 in Nigeria's southern Niger Delta in a few days if its plan to pump heavy fluid into the well to stop the flow was successful.
